  A leading university in the University of Wisconsin system with over 8,000 students. The University is consistently named one of the top public midwestern universities. Visit Carlsten Art Gallery on campus, which features exhibitions of contemporary art by students, faculty and staff.
• Beth Israel Synagogue/ Portage County Historical Museum
  Among a variety of intriguing exhibits, the historical museum is home to a Jewish artifact display.
• Central Wisconsin Children's Museum
  Provides hands-on exhibits, programming, and an art room for children of all ages.

•  Central Wisonsin Environmental Station    
  This environmental learning center and field station for University Of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, College of Natural Resources is situated on 300-acres and located 17 miles east of Stevens Point.
•  Korean War Memorial                                                                                        
  Located in Worzella Pine Park, Polver, this memorial honors all the veterans who served the state. It features five figures — a sailor, a nurse, an air force pilot, and army and marine infantrymen.
• Locomotive No. 2713
  Restored locomotive No. 2731 built in 1911, stands in Southside Memorial Park. The locomotive commemorates the role of the steam engine in the development of Stevens Point.

• Historic Fire House #2/Portage County Historical Museum
   Displays fire fighting equipment and art gallery in the oldest surviving municipal building in Stevens Point, built in 1885. Open Monday, Wednesday & Friday 12 p.m.-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or by appointment.

• Central Wisconsin Water Ski Show team, Inc.
  Family oriented themed water ski shows performed every other Saturday evening at 6:30P.M. at South Bay Beach Park on Lake DuBay. From Stevens Point take I-39 North to Hwy DB Exit, left on DB, then left on Park Road.
  Visit South Bay Beach Park every other Saturday to enjoy a family oriented water ski show.

• Glacial Lake Cranberries
  Tour one of the oldest cranberry marshes in central Wisconsin with an actual grower.  History, videos, cranberry gifts, and tours are offered Mon-Fri at 9, 11, 1 and 3 p.m. during harvest and other times by appointment. Call ahead to verify harvest and tour times. Celebrate one of North Americas native fruits at Glacial Lake Cranberries this year!

• Central Waters Brewery
  Central Wisconsins premier craft brewery, brewing top quality ales and lagers for Wisconsin. Come visit our taproom with 12 different beers, Fridays 4 p.m.-9 p.m. and

• Ice Age Trail                                                                                                        A continuous 1000 mile footpath through diverse landscapes that provides outdoor recreation experiences, preserves geological features, serves as an educational resource, provides habitat for the movement of wildlife, provides health and vigor for users, and links history and cultures within Wisconsin. Portions of this trail travel through Portage County.

• George W. Mead Wildlife Area
  With 30,000 acres, this wildlife area provides recreational opportunities for hunters, bikers, hikers, and bird watchers. Hunt bears, deer, ducks, and geese, in season. Or, bike and hike on the 6.5-mile trail.
• Polish Heritage Trail
  Tour the Polish rural settlement on bike or by car and discover the glacier terrain, wooded countryside, farmland, and sparkling lakes.
• SentryWorld Golf                                                                         
  An 18-hole course designed by the world famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course is surrounded by wilderness, rolling hills, lakes, and over 60,000 annual flowers on the unique 16th “Flower.”
• Schmeeckle Nature Preserve
  A 200-acre reserve open to the public with trails for walking, running, and biking, located just minutes from Ramada Stevens Point.
